Congratulations to our Office Manager Connie Tang receiving her first 10 years long service award at GT!!!Connie has a nickname, everyone calls her “mother” at GT. “I am the lucky one. My friends referred me to work at GreenTomato 10 years ago and this is the longest job I have had so far,” she said. Connie began as an Accountant at GT. After a few years, she became the Office Manager, leading the Department of Administration. “I feel so blessed to have such a group of nice teammates working happily together at GT,” she grinned. “Bonnie helped a lot in handling tasks at the operation level, such as monitoring the construction work at the office over the weekend.” She presented her greatest appreciation to Bonnie, one of her closest companions.When I asked Connie to pick one word to describe GT, “free” was the chosen one. “The working culture at GT is quite unique. It is very different from my previous workplace. I used to work at a firm with a set of regulations before I came here. GT is far freer and more flexible. It is a place for you to fully utilize your creativity.”<img src="https://gt-app-cms.gtomato.com/uploads/9_2_a80202226c.jpg?updated_at=2023-02-20T02:41:48.101Z">Moving out from Tungtex Building to Harbourside HQ is one of her remarkable memories. It required a long time to plan and rearrange everything when moving to a new place.” From the redesign plan to execution, everyone paid extra effort to celebrate this great milestone of GT, she shared.At the end of the interview, Connie expressed her deepest gratitude to the GT founders - especially to Sunny and Benny. “They are very supportive especially when we are in a difficult situation - they will show their understanding and unlimited support as always.” she shared with tears.Connie wishes the innovative idea of GTers will achieve step by step in the coming years! My extraordinary 10 years journey - GT in Connie’s eyes

Congratulations to our Assistant Technical Manager Jam Kuong receiving his first 5 years long service award at GT!!!If you have not met Jam, you can catch him easily with his appearance. He is a tall guy wearing glasses with black skin tone color - undoubtedly he loves outdoor activities and playing with the sun! Jam is well-known as a role model at GT. If you have read his previous talent story, you must know he always craves for new challenges and opportunities, anything that would uplift him. He is achieving what he shared on LinkedIn before: “stay hungry, stay foolish”.Jam started working as a Senior Developer and he described himself as a “pathfinder” at GT. Senior developer is the first role of Jam and the start of his journey at GT. He started to get in touch with cloud design and opened the gate of DevOps. He is now the Assistant Technical Manager focused on managing the DevOps field.“GT is full of challenges and opportunities.” he shared sincerely. Jam often encounters new challenges, some are unchartered territories. He always takes the lead in taking care of the new challenges. “HSBC was my first cloud project and the first public launch project in my GT life. I started participating in handling virtual bank projects and projects related to DevOps in the later period. As time goes by, I dared to say that GT teammates are positively affecting each other by learning and sharing in a good manner. We always learn something new together at a fast pace. He said GT Group was a well-structured ecosystem with business units across different areas which were closely connected to our everyday lives such as Timable, Hong Kong Movie and Hotmob. “When we open a door for new projects there are systemic procedures we take. Firstly, we locate the problems, then move to ideation stage before proposing solutions to each idea,” he said. “I enjoy the process of completing a project working here as you can see from my growth path. Imagine this is a game, I am competing with many big bosses. To complete the task, I must win the game. You will get many chances to play different games here.” Jam emphasized.Jam’s greatest achievement at GT is receiving his first Cloud certificate, he is the first one who pioneered to take the exam. This is how he began to be a certificate collector and now he is a “tutor” at GT, he is passionate about sharing his knowledge to the others. Since then, he has built a habit of renewing and taking different tests to collect certificates in the web world. “Thank you to my team heads, they are very supportive so I can stay focused when I am preparing for the examination,” he said wholeheartedly.Moving to a new office was a milestone for GT as well as the most impressive experience to Jam. He witnessed the growth of GT and he deserved to enjoy every victory moment with GT. “I hope that GT will become the BIG5,” Jam expressed his wishes and expectations. I enjoy the working vibe and I feel comfortable working here,” he smiled.Receiving his first long-service award this year, Issac presented his sincere appreciation to Brian, his team leader, the Assistant Technical Manager. “I want to say thank you to all my companions, especially to my team leader Brian. GreenTomato has grown from a humble team of 10 dedicated members to include branches in Hong Kong, Guangzhou and Taipei that have over 400 team members between them.
