We are delighted to announce that we have partnered with Grow with Google to offer workshops in Hong Kong that focus on mobile solutions and digital transformation.Mr. Sunny Kok, CEO of GreenTomato, said “The future of work is now. The COVID-19 pandemic has accelerated digitalization beyond anything we could have imagined and sparked radical shifts in how we live and work. According to The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), nearly 14% of jobs in OECD countries are likely to be automated, while another 32% are at high risk of being partially automated. Young people and those with low skills are those at the highest risk, but new technological developments are now also affecting the jobs of the high-skilled too. Therefore, equipping and upskilling digital skills becomes the utmost priority in nurturing future pioneers. We are delighted to collaborate with Google at Grow with Google Initiative in Hong Kong, who shares the same vision with us.”Ms. Phoebe Luk, GreenTomato's Evangelist, said “The Future of Jobs Report 2020 from The World Economic Forum shed light on the skills that will be in high demand by 2025. According to the report, technology design and programming skills along with technology use, monitoring, and control skills will all fall within the top 10 skills of 2025 list. To bridge the technology and digital talent gap, GreenTomato and Grow with Google will launch a series of global workshops on mobile solutions and digital transformation in order to help individuals who are tech-savvy and help developers upskill digital knowledge. We are grateful to have the opportunity to work closely with Google to contribute to the collaborative efforts into making positive impacts on our city.”The first free workshop, Application of On-device Machine Learning &amp; Demo, will be held on 19 November 2021. This workshop will allow participants to get updated on the latest trends of machine learning (ML) from Google Cloud's Mr. Thomas Qian. In addition, participants will learn how to use ML kits to make Android on-device machine learning applications by Demo showcase from the GreenTomato team.
